Dispute lawyer, arbitrator, and professor of law.

Partner and co-head of the dispute resolution practice at LLC (Santiago). More than 17 years of experience in the field. Specialized in commercial and investment arbitration, with focus on construction, energy, infrastructure, financial, and M&A disputes.

Experienced in ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations under the ICC, UNCITRAL, ICDR and CAM Santiago arbitration rules, governed by various substantive laws, and seated in diverse jurisdictions. Counsel in setting-aside proceedings, and enforcement matters under the New York Convention regime.

Experience as arbitrator in ICC Arbitration. Member of the CAM Santiago’s pool of arbitrators. Experience also as panelist of dispute boards.

Professor of private law at Universidad de Chile law school –faculty member, particularly focused on contract law. Experience as lecturer on arbitration; experience as speaker in international arbitration conferences (+30).

Member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration & ADR; ICC Chile; Arbitration Spanish Club (co-founder and member of the board); Chilean Society of Construction Law.

Previously with BHP (Santiago), on secondment, in charge of all the disputes related to the Company’s major projects in Chile (2015); Chadbourne & Parke LLP –Latin America Disputes Team (NY, 2011-2012), Philippi (Santiago, 2008-2010, 2012-2012), and Carey (Santiago, 2004-2007).

LL.M from Columbia law school, NY, on a Fulbright Scholarship (2011); University de Chile law school, Summa cum Laude, 2006.
